Friends of Ballard Park in Newport RI

Enjoy an evening walk in the quarry meadow of Ballard Park when it is transformed into a magnificent blooming winter garden of lights. Thousands of lights will sparkle in a series of unique displays again this year.

Additionally there will be exhibits by students enrolled at Cluny School, Melville Elementary School, Rogers High School, the Salve Art Guild, St. Michael's Country Day School, Tiverton High School, the Newport Community Opportunity Zone and the Boys & Girls Club of Newport County.

The Illuminated Garden is a free event and open to the public from 6 to 9 pm each night. It will be held, weather permitting (check our web site for weather advisories) on Thursday, 2/20, Friday 2/21 and Saturday 2/22. The event may be accessed through the Hazard Road entrance.

PLEASE NOTE: Trails are rugged and may be muddy and dark in places ... please wear appropriate shoes or boots. Event goers may also want to bring a flashlight.
